Guidelines
Supervisors and authorized submitters—be sure to review the below guidelines set forth by Baltimore County Government, Department of Health and Human Services with the employee receiving a new/replacement badge.
- All County, State and long-term temporary (one-year or longer) employees are required to have a programmable Baltimore County photo ID badge cardkey issued by the Office of Human Resources. Temporary employees (less than one year) and vendors can receive a cardkey with the appropriate level of access to HHS facilities by sending an email to hhsoperations@baltimorecountymd.gov.
- The cardkey is the property of Baltimore County Government and is subject to restriction or revocation if misused. The individual acknowledging this agreement assumes responsibility for any misuse of the cardkey, including loaning it to a coworker to access the facility or other restricted area within a facility.
- For new badge requests, a headshot against a blank background should be uploaded with the request.
- If an employee separates from HHS because of resignation, termination or any other reason, the employee is required to return the cardkey to their supervisor immediately. The employee’s supervisor must return the cardkey to the Office of Operations.
If an employee badge is lost, stolen or damaged, the employee must immediately report it to his or her supervisor and the Office of Operations by calling 410-887-2243 or emailing hhsoperations@baltimorecountymd.gov.
- Any access requests other than general access, will be sent for review to the appropriate bureau director, assistant director or chief of operations. Requests for 24/7, all doors, clinical or secured areas must be approved by the appropriate leadership before access is granted. (Ex: DGC All Doors (CAC), Med Rooms, Surgical Suits, etc.)
Photo must be a forward-facing headshot. No filter or editing. Blank background only. See PDF for examples.
