Confirmation of Records Request
A Confirmation of Records Request is an examination of documents associated with a property to confirm its authenticity and identify:
- Building, electrical, gas and plumbing applications, inspections and permits
- Code Enforcement cases
- Use of occupancy
The Department of Permits, Approvals and Inspections has 21 days to fulfill this request for information. All documents are subject to the Baltimore County fee schedule. Checks are made payable to Baltimore County, Maryland. Research will begin after payment is received with this request form.

Important Note: Most files are retained for three years, then destroyed.
